You finally japaed to the UK. Welcome! As a new immigrant, I know how difficult it can be. You may be confused and be asking yourself questions like: What do I do next? How do I get a job? How will I rent a house? What are the dos and don’ts of this new land?
You see I was once in those shoes and was able to navigate through because of the guidiance of a few people who were here before me.
I know there’s so many advice on Tiktok that could even leave you more confused which is why I decided to put this list together of geniune people you should follow as a newbie in the UK.
They put out really helpful content and following their advice will help you to settle in fast.

He’s actually my favourite. Apart from motivating you with his real life stories and experiences, Toyibb shares useful tips for both newbies and those who’ve been long in the U.K.
He often shares really good information and other useful opportunities for Nigerians in the UK. You’ll find him talking about the best kinds of industries and jobs in the UK, how to grow your credit score and the best locations for bargain buys.
Another real guy, this one shows you how to navigate the UK society. Coming from Naija, a lot of people may come with behaviours that may not be ideal to function in UK society. Such behaviours could even land them into trouble. MC Akonuche identifies some of these issues and behaviour and tells you how to navigate them to avoid landing into trouble via his Tiktok platform. That’s some good thing from Tiktok right?
Bukola came to the UK as a student of University of Hull and has been able to use her personal experience to inspire prospective UK travellers and newcomers to the UK. She has a small Youtube channel and an active Telegram group where she shares useful information. Her content is a real with no holds barred.
Nanelle is Ghanaian but they’re our sisters right? So she has to be on the list because she makes good content especially for nurses and people who are looking to secure visa sponsorships jobs via the Health Care Assistant route.
